Change in minimum trade fees
From January 29th 2026 08:00 UTC, we will be lowering the minimum trade fee to $0.0001. Previously, all trades on Thalex had a minimum trade fee of $0.01.
Change in options leg fees
Additionally, we will be reducing our fees for options combo orders. Fees will only be applied to the leg with the highest total fee with all other leg fees set to zero.
Why does this matter?
- Significantly cheaper execution for small orders.
- Substantial cost reduction for executing combo orders; Execute multi-leg strategies like straddles, strangles, and spreads without being penalized by cumulative transaction costs.
- Removes friction for hedging and speculative plays, allowing you to focus on the trade setup rather than the fee cost.
